Student Credit & Accreditation

Credit for the successful completion of online courses through Virtual Greenbush can be granted in this way:

Students are encouraged to work with their local accredited school district to receive credit from Virtual Greenbush courses. Virtual Greenbush will work closely with school districts to insure course content aligns with local or state standards as well as district grading policies.*

All students taking an online course through Virtual Greenbush will abide by the policies set forth. Students must agree to an Acceptable Use Policy to continue in the course. All students are required to take exams/quizzes in a proctored environment within a school district or testing center.

If credit needs to be granted through Virtual Greenbush to be transferred to a local school district, Virtual Greenbush, operated by the Southeast Kansas Education Service Center (Interlocal 609), will issue the transcript. Credit will only be granted by Virtual Greenbush at the request of the local school district.

Virtual Greenbush is an accredited distance education program by the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accredidation (CITA) www.citaschools.org and the North Central Association (NCA) Commission on Accredidation and and School Improvement www.ncacasi.org.

Currently we are in the process of upgrading our services, and in the upcoming months will be able to better serve those interested by offering a more elaborate plan of integration. Though Virtual Greenbush was recently accreditated to begin granting diplomas, each case is unique, so please contact us before deciding on our diploma program.
