"Education
has changed from when I was in school. Classes are more
advanced, students bring more knowledge to the classroom,
and the development of online courses is, in itself, an
amazing advancement in education as a whole. I take pride
in helping students get through their courses and am constantly
struggling to stay ahead of them, as online classes not
only advance the student towards working on their own, but
give them a greater pride in their achievements without
the constant presence of an educator."
|
| |
| Julie
Wilson - Online Tutor |
Responsibilities:
Assist the needs of students
after hours, mentoring and tutoring online students.
"Education
is my life. As a former educator and a mother of one, children
have definitely become a huge part of my life, which is
one reason why I feel that I owe it to our students to be
available for questions and/or suggestions from them. Formally,
highlighting their accomplishments through the Online
Outlook was just another way that I tried to show
students how valuable they are and how our future lies in
their hands." |

| Margo
Troike - Distance Learning Educator |
Responsibilities:
Facilitating and developing online courses, providing support
for students and schools, ensuring program integrity and
generally supporting the mission of Virtual Greenbush.
“13
years of facilitating courses at a local high school helped
prepare me for the 'Role of a Lifetime'.
As a teacher for online learning, I bring to the table the
ability to help faciliate the content so that students get
the most out of their course. Setting deadlines is but one
way I have found to effectively teach and monitor student
activity, and by creating office hours in-house, I can ensure
that questions from both students, teachers, parents, and
contacts are answered directly without a lot of confusion.”
